Microwave Pet Killer
There have been cases of cats being cooked alive since as early as 2011 where a cat was being cooked in a microwave by a father-to-be named Stephen Stacey because she had scratched his hand causing her to cook from the inside. Luckily, the cat had survived after being doused in water and packed in ice by vets but was still hot even after seven hours of the incident.

There was another case in 2014 where a woman named Laura Cunliffe killed her kitten by cooking it in a microwave for five minutes after it had attacked her pet goldfish. The kitten was alive when Cunliffe removed it from the microwave but then died shortly after due to it not being able to catch its breath. Fortunately, Laura Cunliffe has pleaded guilty to her crime.

The most recent case I could find was in 2019 where cruel teenagers who remains unnamed had microwaved a cat, recorded it and posted the footage online in effort to gain clout and popularity.
In the footage, the giggling teenagers are seen closing the door on the cat as it tries to get out of the oven. The teenagers then turn on the microwave and watch as the cat scrambles around and whimpers inside. Screenshots of the video were shared on Facebook by the Dunkirk Animal Protection Society (SPA), which had then saved the cat.

These cases prove that cats and maybe animals in general have been abused due to the personal feelings of their owners or more recently to gain clout on the internet. This poses a horrible sentiment for animals as it could potentially create a dangerous environment for animals especially pets. This is because people could let their emotions take over and might take it out on their animals. They could also use torture or kill their animals to gain popularity on social media.
